Scrap Fabric Bunting

Our neighborhood, Selwyn Park, is one of the neatest in Charlotte.  We have small mid-century ranches that are perfect for the DIYer looking to make their home in a unique, community minded neighborhood.  We are within walking distance to lots of cool shopping and dining and home to one of the greatest neighborhood block parties ever!

I am in charge of decor for the party - surprised?  And we are keeping it simple and rustic but very cool.  Several of our neighbors helped to make this great scrap fabric bunting.  The fabric is left over from various projects from a neighbor who likes to sew.

We simply cut it into strips and then tied it to twine.  The twine was $3.99 for 90 feet at a local hardware store.  The fabric was free!

We are going to tie it along the tents at the party.

I can't wait to see it on Saturday night.  We are very excited because the Charlotte Observer is scheduled to attend.  There just might be a quote from yours truly!
