New Pieces

Rudy and I got a couple of new pieces of furniture over the last month or so.  My MIL is downsizing so we were the lucky recipients of some beautiful things. 

First is the drop leaf table.  I moved the round table that was in this spot downstairs in our den.

 

The other piece is this great glass bookcase.  Rudy's parents refinished it themselves probably 25 years ago.  I always loved it and feel so fortunate that we get to call it ours.  Especially since it was a project they put so much time into.  She said they spent many weekends working on it together.

 



A great bonus is that I have lots of space to keep all of the vases and candlesticks I am accumulating with Quite The Occasion.  They are closed off and in the guest bedroom so I can use them easily but little Reed can't get to them.

Then lastly are these very fancy end tables/stools.  Ha!  gotta love a stump by a fire pit!  I actually love these.  Rudy brought them over from a neighbors house for our Chilly Chili party and it was great to have the extra seating. 

They will make for nice tables too for s'mores supplies or a fireside dinner one evening under the stars.
