Living Room Redo - Picking An Accent Color

I used to have a red, gold and olive living room.  But I got over the red and introduced brown.  But now it seems as though I need some kind of punch of color.  You would think that the green would be the accent...or maybe the brown...but it just doesn't feel that way.  None of them seem accent enough.  So that brings me to my first "to do" on my living room list.  Finding an accent color.  Do I want an accented neutral scheme and bring in a coral which is olive's compliment?  Or something more monochromatic with a cool color like blue?

Now that I look at this I lean to the coral - but I am so sick of anything in the red family!  So I nixed that and decided to go with the blue.  I hope I don't regret this!

My first way to bring in the color was these pillows from Etsy...see that hint of aqua in the first pillow?  When I viewed it online I did not realize that it had aqua in there.  I could have returned it because I wasn't sure it was the right blue I was going for but after having it in the room for a few days I like it.  I bought this pillow from Pillow Hound.

I bought this one from Decorate23.  Now I just have to decide how to get the blue in other parts of the room.  My most favorite rooms I have ever done are the ones that didn't come together overnight.  So I am going to take my time on the rest of the room until I find just the right pieces.  I can't wait for it all to come together!
